One big problem is that I am not happy with the puzzle joint on the bottom panel. It seems that our two tables were slightly out of true (about 1/8") which in conjunction with not enough clamping area has caused the fingers to be a little askew. I am afraid that if we just sand it down we are going to go through the first layer (veneer) of the plywood. Unfortunately no photos to show the problem, frankly a little embarrassed that it is a problem. Current thinking is to go ahead and blow through the veneer on the top with a belt sander, a fill if necessary with wood flour thickened epoxy. This will leave a fairly unattractive slice on the bottom inside of the hull - but it looks like the joint is mostly under the center seat. On the outside it does not matter much as it will be painted. I don't think the variance is enough to affect strength - especially as this part will have fiberglass on both sides. Only other choice is to order new parts - we will start with above and if really ugly consider the delay a cost of this.
In the meantime a few pics...

Pics to come this weekend of the puzzle joint conundrum. Also a story of a very very fein sander.
